Chuuto Hanpa Taijutsu
“Incomplete Taijutsu”Rob will be sharing the feeling of Hatsumi Soke’s taijutsu through this concept of incompleteness or going halfway. Building on the Bujinkan theme of "Sainou Kon Ki" from the previous year, this seminar will prepared us for this years theme of “Rokkon Shou Jou”.
Topics covered:
* l Kihon happo with only one hand!
* l Tachi and its myriad ways of use
* l Multiple attackers…using one hand!
* l Understanding the principle of shiho dori.
* l Much more
And as always, Rob showed the newest and most effective exercises and drills learned from the Japanese top shihan, the "Shitennou". These movements rapidly improved taijutsu and increased over all health.

Rob Renner Shihan Seminar
March 28th and 29th, 2009 (11am to 6pm both days)
As many are aware, Hatsumi sensei has been talking about the importance of maintaining the connection to Japan over the last few years, as well as the importance of creating a strong network within the Bujinkan community. He also constantly admonishes us to “find a good teacher” as there is much misinformation available. Recently Hatsumi Sensei has “recommended” that several of the high-level, non- Japanese living in Japan go abroad to share their understanding with the rest of the world.
才能 Saino/Talent…魂Tamashi/Spirit…器Utsuwa/Capacity
Following Sensei’s encouragement, Rob Renner will be coming to the Chicago area to share his insights and training tips for understanding this year’s theme, as well as the universal principle’s of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. Embodying this year’s theme, Rob has made a dream of many come true – living in Japan and training with Hatsumi Sensei and the top Shihan almost daily! He has been able to create a life where he can pass on the principles and movements of the Bujinkan to people outside the world of martial arts through his company, Zeropoint Training.
He is constantly refining and teaching movement skills to people of all ages, as well as holding taijutsu classes 5 days a week for visiting guests and native Japanese alike. This immersion in training at the highest level of the art has obviously produced outstanding results, as the many people who have trained with him over the last few years can attest to. Although he often demonstrates the “magic” of taijutsu, Rob breaks down the difficult pieces into easily manageable chunks, producing immediate improvement in your taijutsu. This skill at designing exercises and creating mental models that speed the process of learning make it imperative to train with Rob. If you are interested in increasing your capacity (utsuwa), then this seminar is for you!
